Denisha Connet

Denisha Connet earned her undergraduate degree from San Jose State and her teaching credential at National University. She has been a classroom teacher for the 27 years.  She has served on the CCSS Board for the past eight years, planned the Oakland Conference in 2015, served as President of CCSS and is presently helping to plan the 2019 Conference.

Denisha comes from a long string of teachers. She is a firm believer in that we need to prepare our students for the future. She believes that classroom teachers really have their pulse on what is going on in their student’s lives. She has taken part in incorporating the new framework and textbooks in her classroom.  She has attended many CCSS Conferences where she has been able to use many of the new strategies and methods in her classroom that she learned. CCSS has played a big part in her teaching and she is excited to see what CCSS has planned for the future.
